Man Going 110 MPH Crashes Car After Accelerator Gets Stuck

Georgia EMT James Bennefield was on his way home when he says his accelerator suddenly became stuck. No matter how hard Bennefield says he tried, he couldn't slow down. Instead, his car actually picked up speed up to 110 miles an hour. Bennefield says he decided if he was going to die, he didn't want anyone else injured, so he steered into an empty parking lot to crash his car. Incredibly, his only injury was a dislocated thumb.
