A human being is spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Many believers have not addressed the well-being of their soul, which is made of the mind, will and emotions. In general, we all have, sort of, an emotions bank inside us that keeps a record of all past circumstances and their associated feelings, for example: pain, fear, abuse, sorrow, disappointment, anger, happiness, love, loss of hope and more, especially our experiences in childhood and formative years. Without understanding our emotional past, we are unable to renew our mind and correct some of the emotional positions we hold firmly, which are not necessarily built on revelation or knowledge based. We can train ourselves to think instead of always reacting emotionally. By so doing we can become better people at personal achievement as well as heaven (eternal)-facing goals. Understanding how emotions affect our current wellbeing and our ability to foster good human relations, and personal peace, helps us to become better and more healthy people. It is also a big struggle to obey the calling and instructions of God when we are still living in the place of past emotional debris. Bible-based perspective salted with a fair mix of emotional understanding, will provide healing from the past using the power and faith of the word of God. We have given the benefit of using hindsight into other people’s lives. From Genesis to Revelation, we can see how emotions impacted people, what the outcomes were and how it could have been done better since. 1 Corinthians 10:11, AMPC. 11 Now these things befell them by way of a figure [as an example and warning to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have reached their climax (their consummation and concluding period).
