Managing Python Environments with Conda in Jupyter is a hands-on workshop focused on building and managing reproducible Python environments on Hyak Klone and Tillicum.
This session introduces the Conda module and Jupyter modules available on Hyak and demonstrates recommended workflows using Open OnDemand. Participants will learn how to create and manage Conda environments, configure environment and package storage to avoid home directory limits, and register Conda environments for use in Jupyter notebooks and JupyterLab.
Through guided exercises, attendees will practice running Python workflows from the command line and through Jupyter, reinforcing best practices for interactive computing, storage management, and cleanup on Hyak systems.
