Mandibular molars: - Mandibular molars are the largest mandibular teeth, and function with maxillary molar in grinding. - 1st mandibular molar is the 1st permanent tooth to erupt along with maxilary 1st molar. - Mandibular 1st molar is the largest mandibular molar, while the 3rd molar is the smallest molar. - Mandibular 1st molars along with maxillary 1st molars are also considered the 'Cornerstones'.
