Mantaflow Curling Wave with Surfer
flip Res 350 - Mesh upres 3. no particles. Anim slowed to 12 FPS. Surfer/Board lifted from public sources - 4 poses i created for this: down face, straight , hard turn, in tube. Baked wave without surfer, then hand placed board / keyframes. Rebaked with surfer as a mantaflow effector. anim editing is painfully slow on my machine, so this is first cut with little refinement. Blender 2.83 alpha. ======== Blend file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Sfx40mbKF3hrrA8VvRkrUiL-Ld8bJoLJ notes: run the fluid sim at 24fps starting with frame 1. you can change the sim range to 50-140 when creating the mesh. the sim could be extended 10 or so more frames but the surfer anim will need correct key frames. Changing flip res, time scale, frame rate will impact the wave behavior which will require reanimation of the surfer. Tweak away. If you get a good result, reply with a link so i can see it. Note: 2.90 changed time scale behavior so it wont bake correctly with that version.
