Rod Sweet reports on the latest AI robotic system promising to “fix” construction. The star of the show is the “Mantis” autonomous robot, designed to assemble elements on site that are custom prefabricated off-site in pop-up robotic factories, with the whole system running on AI-powered design software.
The London based start-up behind it, called All3, claims the system will save developers up to 30% in overall costs, and cut up to 50% off a project’s duration.
Today, All3 said it had raised $25m in a seed round led by RTP Global. It’ll use the money for R&D as it prepares to roll the system out this year in Germany, with a focus on timber residential schemes.
