ManUp Pit Key
Locating underground cables and pipes at a job site often means getting into pits and chambers to reach the cables or valves inside. When pits are newly installed, this is easy to do. However, over time, pits become harder to access as the lids get stuck down. To solve this, we use a range of 'pit seal breakers' to crack the seal and open the lid. One tool I use frequently is called the ManUp Key. Over the years, I’ve recommended it to many other locators, electricians, plumbers and surveyors. The other day, while out on a job site and faced with another stuck pit, I thought it might be a good opportunity to get the camera out and do a video showing it in action. This way, those who haven't seen it yet can see how it works and then decide for themselves if a ManUp Key might be the answer they're looking for.
