Greetings and continued blessings, my friends. In Ricky Manalo's own words, “(This) is my first attempt at writing a liturgical song from an Asian perspective. The music of this particular song utilizes the pentatonic scale, common to the music of many Asian cultures. The simplicity of this scale lends itself to assembly participation. At the same time, there is an obvious western influence: while the melody is easy to sing, the harmony provides a grounding of accessibility for the assembly.
