Maple Vase

This week I rough turned this deep hollow form out of some of that maple I picked up recently! Check it out! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ For anybody interested here are the specs on my bowl gouge: ▪️1/2" Henry Taylor Bowl Gouge: https://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/129/4636/Henry-Taylor-M2-HSS-Richard-Raffan-Signature-Superflute-Bowl-Gouge ▪️Ellsworth Sharpening Jig: https://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/p/94/1562/Ellsworth-Grinding-Jig ▪️350 Grit CBN Wheel: http://woodturnerswonders.com/collections/radius-edge-cbn-wheels ► I have the bevel set to 60 degrees. I use a 45 degree set up jig on my wolverine system (45 translates to a 60 degree bevel when you use the ellsworth jig). ► I freehand grind away some material at the heel of the bevel. I like a double bevel because it gives me more flexibility and less bevel contact.
