MARRIAGE CEREMONY
The Christian Marriage is more than just a social or legal union, it is considered a secred covenant before God. In Bible says that the marriage is especially by God. In Genesis 2:24 says that a man and woman became one flesh. This implies that deep meaning of spiritual, emotional, and physical unity. The Christian Marriage is a covenant, not just contract. A contract can be broken, but a covenant is a lifelong commitment made before God. This verse has strongly support in Malchi 2:14 where marriage is described as a covenant with God as witness. Marriage reflects the relationship between Jesus Christ and His Church. In Ephesians 5:25, husband are instructed to love their wives as Christ loved the Church selflessly and sacrificially. A marriage is built on love, faith, forgiven, commitment and respect. In Matthew 19:6 what God has joined together, let no one separate. This emphasis that marriage is intended to be lifelong.
