Work as a team, plan first, and test your ideas. *Materials (per team)* *20 pieces of dry spaghetti (uncooked)* *1 marshmallow* *1 yard (or meter) of masking tape* *1 yard (or meter) of string* *1 pair of scissors (shared or per team, if allowed)* *Flat workspace* *Time Limit* *18 minutes to build* *2 minutes for measuring and clean-up* *Rules* 1. The marshmallow must be *on top* of the tower. 2. The tower must *stand on its own* (no hands holding it up). 3. You may *cut* the tape and string. 4. You may *break* the spaghetti. 5. Use only the materials listed—*no extra supplies*. 6. Measure height from the table surface to the top of the marshmallow. 7. If it falls during measuring, the last *hands-off, standing* height is what counts. *How to Play (Simple Steps)* 1. *Plan (2–3 min):* Sketch quick ideas.
