Master Finish Automation
In the old days plating lines were setup with manually driven cranes to move your product through each step of the process. Each time the product had to move, an operator had to decide where your product was going next and what the proper dwell time should be in that next tank. The operator also had to be counted on to properly adjust the electrical current in each electrified tank. With today’s complex process recipes we simply cannot rely on humans to remember each process step, let alone making each of those process moves consistently, time after time. Today all the plating lines at Master Finish are run by laser guided cranes and computer controlled process recipes. At the line entry point our operators use a bar code scanner to identify the product part number, the plating rack tooling, and the specified plating process recipe. From there the computer takes over, directing our cranes to follow the prescribed recipe path with precise and consistent results. We employ process automation on all of our rack and barrel plating lines, and we have seen dramatic improvements in product quality and scrap reduction. Let us bring the benefits of process automation to your next plating project!
