Master the Kip Up (Part 4) – The Assisted Breakthrough Method
In Part 4 of our Kip Up Mastery series, filmed at the March 2014 Agatsu Movement Camp in Los Angeles, we show you exactly how we help students who are almost there but can’t quite complete the movement. Using a simple belt-assisted method, we give the athlete just enough support to: • Feel the correct timing • Understand the hip drive • Connect the phases of the movement • Experience a successful rep This is not a crutch. It’s a breakthrough tool. The light assistance allows the nervous system to experience the full kip up pattern the way it’s meant to happen — so the body finally understands what to do. If you struggled in Parts 1–3, this is the missing piece. Inside this lesson you’ll learn: • How to apply assisted tension properly • When to pull (and when not to) • How to cue the athlete through each phase • How to transition from assisted reps to unassisted mastery This is how we coach it live. This is how students break through. Welcome to Part 4. — Agatsu Movement Camp March 2014 | Los Angeles
