In this tutorial I am demonstrating the basic functions and settings of V-Ray lights. If the concepts are new to you, this is a great video to get started with. I will explain what an area light is and how it works, plus demonstrate some of the different results you can get using the V-Ray lights in different ways. I also demonstrate the essential settings of the lights and how to control them to get good results.
Lighting in Vray is such an essential part to getting a nice looking rendering, and the balance between different lights (color, intensity, etc) is so important to pulling off a good look. Understanding the principles and techniques behind the Vray lights gives you the control you need to get it just right, and increase the quality of every image you produce.
