Mavis GC Remake

Mavis is a newly bought diesel engine who works for the Anopha Quarry Company, shunting freight cars in their sidings. Mavis is still young and full of her own ideas and she loves rearranging things too. She begins to put Toby's cars in different places everyday, which makes Toby cross. Toby finally loses his patience with her and tells Mavis she can take the cars herself. This makes Mavis pleased as she feels important when taking cars. Later, Mavis talks to Diesel who tells her that "anything steam engines can do, we diesels can do better". Of course, Diesel has no expierence with freight cars but Mavis doesn't know that. Toby's branchline crosses the road behind Ffarquhar and for short way to the quarry, it follows a farm lane. Frosty weather can make the muddy lane rock hard and very slippery. But Toby knows what to do, he stops before reaching the lane, his fireman halts the traffic at the crossing and then he sets off again, and by using the heavy stone cars to push him, Toby has no trouble with the frosty rails in the lane and across the road. Toby warns and tells Mavis what do to, but she takes no notice. Instead of stopping before reaching the lane, she stops at the crossing and she gets stuck, on top of that, the silly freight cars decide to hold back. Workmen arrive, they sand the rails and attempt to dig away the frozen mud, but it's no good. When Toby hears the news, he fumes and decides that the best thing to do is to help Mavis before Sir Topham Hatt finds out. When Toby rescues Mavis, he bids farewell and Mavis takes the cars to the shed and she scuttles home to the quarry as quickly as she can.
