this is the testimony of my uncle Lee,ofcourse i couldn't put it all into the song, to many details to cover a lifetime but it covers the main thrust of his testimony he lived a rough life, was an atheist at one time, he did love his family and would defend them vigorously but he was a hard sinner man most of his life. fought, cussed, he had a reputation around where we live. his wife Sue got saved after leaving st.louis or just before maybe something to that effect and had a very personal relationship with Jesus, which didn't set well with Uncle Lee at the time, he fought her terribly, pyhsical, and mental abuse but she kept praying for him for years until in his later years, he began to come around church and started going here and there but wasn't saved didn't change, But Jesus was working we had a preacherfriend that went to the little church we had at the time, brother Donald Brown, he owned nearly a mountainside back in the Ozarks, there was one particular piece of field with an old barbwire fence where he had an encounter with God he sat up a big old rock painted it black and wrote in white on the rock God met me here. my uncle Lee went out there one day after church, he stepped across that old fence and the power of conviction fell on him, this was a hard man who never cried, but he ran and fell on his knees and wept repented and Jesus changed his life that day. He would testify in church weeping and crying years later he went on to be with Jesus, he met the one who saved him now face to face but left a great testimony behind.
