This tutorial deals with one of the most used deformers in character animation: Blend Shape. It blends one shape into another. Another expression for this is: morphing. Can we morph a horse from the content browser into a cat? We cannot. This tutorial goes into some depth about why this fails and what you can do about it. In order to get it right, we morph a horse into a scifi animal with camel-like bumps and the nose of a mule. Fast and dirty modeling, just to demostrate the tool. Once we're done we overshoot the blend shape slider which leads to interesting effects. And we paint blend shape values. Here is a blend shape tutorial with a simple face: https://youtu.be/peGc0Mtzn5E The music: "Computer Animation" and "dubius 170" by Maximilian Schönherr, licensed via GEMA.
