Maya: How To Install Comet Script – Quick & Easy Guide

Hey everyone! In some of my tutorials, we use Comet Tools, a timeless and essential script for Maya. In this video, I'll show you how to install and set it up so you can start using it right away! Download Comet Tools here: https://www.comet-cartoons.com/ Installation Steps: 1) Copy all script files to your maya script folder (do not add any folders just directly in the script folder) C:\Users\[your user name]\Documents\maya\2025\scripts 2) Go to script editor mel tab and type in: rehash; source cometMenu.mel; 3) Make it into a button on your custom shelf by middle mouse dragging it onto it 4) If you want to have the tool AutoStart everytime you launch maya: - Make a text file and rename it to userSetup.mel - Copy that file to your maya script folder above. - Inside the userSetup.mel write a line of code below: source cometMenu.mel; Got questions?
