Maya Run Cycle Tutorial : Character Animation Tutorial | Step by step animation process | Part 2 Hi Creators & Students from all over around the world, Sometimes you just need a tutorial and a clear voice that explains clearly every single steps on how to animation. This is a tutorial is for you! In this video, we go over how to and where to gather references for an animation that you wish to create, the correct timing of a run cycle , how to start transforming the 2D hand drawn pictures in to 3D animation with MAYA. We will start by setting up key poses for run cycle , making sure the footwork are great then continue with in-betweens , balancing the hips , spines and up to character chest and even to the head. We will then adding fine detail adjustments inside curve editor , making sure that it loop seamlessly and offsetting parts of the joints to create an overlapping movements for our character to make it looks more natural. You need a copy of Maya to follow this tutorial.
