She disappeared, leaving nothing but death behind her. So many spirits destroyed, old and new, so many Dreamers corrupted and turned into those… Things… Fear… She left south, and the energy she brought with her was powerful enough to corrupt that land around her. The grass died, and the ground cracked. It was a desert. After many ages of Fear inhabiting that space, large, black tendrils with massive thorns sprouted out of the ground, flowing in and out, spreading over the south side of the Plains. The Roots. Now, the Crystal City exists as protection for the Dreamers. We had to close their inner eyes, and erased their memory of the Plains as well, to ensure they never ventured outside of the City. Ages passed, and we were still burdened by the existence of Fear. They still hunted Dreamers, and now that all the other Guardian spirits are gone, I am their lone protector. As the Ages continued to pass, Fear continued to grow. The negative energy was getting more and more difficult to fight. I knew I couldn’t do it alone for much longer. So, I did something that none of the other Guardian spirits would have ever thought to do. I sought a Dreamer. The spirits before would have also been very upset with me, but they were no longer around to warn me, so I acted. I submerged myself in the Lake, and focused on the energy around me to locate the Dreamer with the most potent energy I could find.
