Curl Up
Straightened one leg put the hands under the lumbar spine which supports the spine in a much stronger neutral posture.do not flatten the back to the floor which takes the spine out of elastic equilibrium and raises the stress in the passive tissues. One leg is bent with the knee flexed at 90. This adds torque to the pelvis to prevent the lumbar spine from flattening to the floor.
The focus of the rotation is in the thoracic spine many tend to flex the cervical spine which is poor technique
Leave the elbows on the floor while elevating the head and shoulders a short distance off the floor. No cervical motion should occur. Rather picture the head and neck as a rigid block on the thoracic spine
