Measuring Tree Diameter, Circumference, Diameter, dbh

This video describes the conceptual framework and in-field measurement to determine the horizontal growth in trees. First, a sawed log is used to establish the notion that the measurement of diameter is actually measured by taking the circumference of a circle (log) as a means to infer diameter via a diameter tape or dbh tape. Applications are for foresters and those measuring tree growth in a forest or stand.
