I wrote this song base on a NextDoor post" Poster not shown I was just informed that we're being assessed another tax in this state, this time on our cell phones. WTH. I am not a fan of forced donations. I wish the state of CT would keep their little meathook hands out of my pockets with this baloney. I opened up my Verizon bill today Saw another line that made me say "no way" Five little cents on every single phone line State of CT's got their hand in mine It's for the firefighters, cancer relief they say But I'm over here just tryna pay my data anyway They call it a "public benefit charge" I call it reachin' deep into my garage Meathook hands! (meathook hands!) Keep 'em outta my pockets, man! Forced donation on my cell phone plan Five cents a month, that's the master plan Baloney tax, yeah I'm losin' my cool State of Connecticut, playin' me for a fool! Meathook hands! Get outta my phone!
