Meet Me There
Words and music by Dr. Jeff R. Steele Arranged and played by David Bjornstad Recorded at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Vinemont, AL, June 30, 2019 I own no rights. Normally I arrange and play songs that everyone knows, so people can sing along, if they choose. I have made an exception in this case, because I love the song. So that listeners can know what they are listening to, here is a synopsis. The first verse tells the story of a mother and father who little girl is dying, but before she goes, she has a message for her parents. The second verse is about a soldier who is being deployed to a war zone, but before he gets on the airplane, he has a message for his young son. The message is in the chorus: "Meet me there; meet me there, Just beyond this vale of tears, in that city God's prepared. Meet me there; meet me there. The blood of Christ will see you through; I'll look everywhere for you. When we gather in the air, meet me there."
