Meet Michael Horta, our passionate and people-centered Human Resources Director! With over seven years at the City of Morgan Hill, Michael brings energy, heart, and leadership to everything he does, whether it's welcoming new teammates, planning internal City events, or supporting employee morale. Growing up in a public service household, Michael was inspired early on to make a difference. His journey through leadership roles and college coursework led him straight to his calling in HR. What drives him? Being around people and making a positive impact. Outside the office, you’ll find Michael and his family performing on stage at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse or heading to their happy place, Disneyland! 🎭🏰 His advice for future public service leaders? “Take the risk, find mentors who believe in you, and focus on what brings you joy.” Thanks for all you do, Michael!
