Do you know what bees need and how to help them?
Nearly 3/4 of all plant species in temperate biomes and 94% in tropical areas are serviced by animal pollinators, a majority of which are bees. Bees are also the most important animal pollinators of agricultural crops. Dr. Kim Russell, pollinator ecologist and conservationist from Rutgers University, discusses the natural history of wild bees including what aspects of their biology makes them such good pollinators, identify threats they currently face and discuss what we can do to ensure their conservation.
