Maurice Greene is an American former track and field sprinter who dominated the sport from the late 1990s through the early 2000s. Often referred to as the "Kansas City Cannon," he is best known for being the former 100m world record holder (9.79 seconds) and a multiple-time Olympic gold medalist.
