Memory Cards 101 **IMPORTANT: The Canon EOS M actually shoots between 40-50 mbps which is equivalent to 5MB/s - 6.25MB/s. But as you can see, the write speed of the Sandisk Extreme card I’m using with it is still more than enough to record video with no problem. This video is all about memory cards. Since I use Sandisk, that’s the brand I’ll be focusing on. I’m by no means an expert and I had to watch several videos and read articles to better understand this topic. This is just a summary of all the things I’ve learned about memory cards and how to pick the one that works best for you whether you're using a DSLR or mirrorless camera. Or if you're shooting 1080 vs 4K. One of my SD cards just died on me and I lost 2 audio files which is a bummer but also made me want to make this video even more. If your memory card is too slow, your video will have dropped frames and look choppy.
