Menthol - Vanished CS (2016)

Brand new 2016 release from Greensboro, NC's Menthol! These 3 tracks pick up right where Menthol's first tape left off, with twinges of rock 'n' roll, but still raw and catering specifically to goons. I gotta say, the title track on this tape is probably my new favorite Menthol song. The vibe of this tape is much more assured and less mysterious than the first one. I'm not sure about on this recording, but the last time I saw Menthol they've become a five-piece with two guitars, making them sound much fuller and intense. I already thought they were great, but now they're a force, bashing me over the head with their bouncy, frantically energetic tunes. Menthol recorded this to have ready in time for the fest in Oklahoma City, where I'm sure they fit just perfectly. These are apparently going to be on a follow-up 7" to their debut on Not Normal (which isn't even out yet as I'm writing this).
