MEP Label
From Archicad 25, we can choose a specific label type that enables us to display MEP specific parameters. This will make documentation much easier and quicker for MEP projects modeled with Archicad. Using the plumbing isometric view, lets open the Label settings. Here, we will notice that there's a new label type, called MEP label. Let's select it. You can change the general settings such as - text and pointer - as of any other Label Type. Let's place the label on one of the pipes. There are some special options for this label type under the Symbol Label Custom Settings tab. We can change the displayed data - meaning that we can choose whether if we want to display the value only, name and value, prefix and value. The prefix for each data type can be set at the related field. Each info type can be turned on or off. In case there are more connections available for a specific MEP element, we choose whether if we'd like to the Show the First Connection's data only or not. For a simple pipe, it should be turned on. We can change settings for the displayed dimensions and we can also add additional properties up to 5 rows. The display order can also be changed using the next tab. We can further customize the label and specify the displayed units for the dimensions for example. It is also possible to override the Project Preferences settings. The labels can be placed on any MEP elements, both on 3D documents or 2D Views. These labels are associative to MEP elements, so if any data changes, the represented information changes accordingly. It makes documentation of MEP projects in Archicad a more productive task.
