MESSAGE SERVER - SMMS

You can use the message server monitor (transaction SMMS) to closely monitor the functioning of the message server. On the initial screen all the SAP servers that have logged on to the message server are displayed. Server Name: Instance name: Instance name (consists of host name, system ID, and instance number) Host Name: Name or IP address of the host IP Address: If you are using IPv6, you will see the IPv6 address here. If an instance is not IPv6-enabled, the IPv4 address is displayed in the IP Address (IPv4) column.
