Meta-Capp Introduction

Meta-Capp is an AI-native educational system designed to transform passive AI consumption into active learning. Today, we have access to unlimited knowledge: PDFs, videos, courses, and powerful LLMs. But learning itself is becoming increasingly passive. As students, we can now ask an AI to summarize an entire course instantly, explain everything for tomorrow’s exam, and remove almost all friction from the learning process. The problem is that real understanding does not emerge from passive consumption. It emerges from effort, reflection, active recall, and metacognition. Meta-Capp was built around this idea. Using local Gemma models, geometric PDF reconstruction, and cognitive science principles, Meta-Capp transforms educational documents into interactive learning experiences that encourage deep thinking instead of passive scrolling. The system: * reconstructs complex scientific PDFs, * understands diagrams, formulas, and layouts, * generates questions, flashcards, and exercises, * and introduces intelligent friction to encourage genuine understanding. The goal is not to let AI think instead of us. The goal is to use AI to help humans think better.
