Germination is very vital process as life cycle of plants starts from seed germination. Seed germination begins with imbibition of water followed by mobilization food reserves, protein synthesis and finally protrusion of radical and plumule. Seeds contains different type of stored food material like proteins, lipids and carbohydrates. These are the sources of energy, carbon and nitrogen for seedling development.
