Christine Terina is a Kenyan-born Canadian whose life reflects a deep appreciation for the values and faith traditions of both her countries of identity, Kenya and Canada. Raised within a strong Christian foundation, Christine embraces her heritage as a blessing shaped by two nations where faith, community, and resilience play a central role in everyday life. From her early years in Kenya, Christine developed a profound sense of compassion, community responsibility, and reverence for God. These formative experiences were further enriched by her journey in Canada, where she encountered diversity, inclusion, and a global perspective on service and humanity. Together, these influences have shaped her into a woman of conviction, humility, and purpose. Christine is a devoted follower of Christ, committed to living out the teachings of Jesus Christ through love, service, and faith in action. As an Advent Christ follower, she places strong emphasis on spiritual readiness, hope, and the promise of Christ’s return, which inspires her daily walk and her interactions with others. Driven by a heart for service, Christine is also a humanitarian who seeks to uplift and support vulnerable communities. Her work and personal mission center on compassion, dignity, and empowerment, values rooted in both her faith and her cultural upbringing. Whether through acts of kindness, advocacy, or community engagement, she strives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around her. Christine is now a nurse working with Interior Health in BC.
