The memories of our restless youth, always thinking there is something better just a little farther away. Years later, you realize that your roots made you who you are, that you never had it so good, and you’ll always long to return to your Miccosukee Road.
Since I first saw the road sign for Miccosukee Road, I wanted to write a song about it. Thinking about my youth, driving nowhere, no place to go, and the idea fits. It took me nearly a year to write the lyrics, but I think I hit the mark. We all have our own Miccosukee Road.
