In looking for creative ideas for my CNC, a friend mentioned making a box in the shape of the State of lower Michigan, that could contain rocks specific to the state's area. I set off to make this shadow box and I'm delighted with how it turned out.
The learnings from the project relate to the epoxy seeping through the walls of the box, which lead me to use epoxy as the outer finish. But all in all, I'm very happy with how it turned out.
