We add to our understanding of lowside load switching with pulsewidth modulation. Varying the switching timing provides a way to control the average power through a load. This is a common practice in electronics and is very easy to implement.
Note: Take into account the rising and falling reaction time characteristics of your MOSFETs. These parameters influence the time the MOSFET reaches or exits enhancement. The transition space in-between "OFF" and "ON" is resistive. So, if the MOSFET takes a little longer to transition between states there will be waste heat/sound produced.
