Middle Earth - The Last Goodbye
"It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something. There's some good in the world, Mr. Frodo...and it's worth fighting for." -- I honestly can't believe that the Middle Earth saga is over. I mean, what a series! It's effected me in ways you wouldn't believe, and there's no way i could put what exactly they mean to me into a video. Alas, i had to try, and thus this was created. My apologies for not uploading anything for months; i've been working on cosplay and writing and dealing with a nasty case of depression. Upon that cheery note, let us talk Lord of the Rings. As much as i love Loki and Magneto, never before have i related to characters like Frodo and Thorin in the way that i do. Their experiences are so profoundly like mine in nature; it's uncanny. While I've not had dealings with dragons or dark lords, but i have had a 'ring.' All of us do - the ring is something we must have, and eventually do, and once we gain such a thing we are eaten away by the power it had given us (such is the case with Thorin's gold and kingly title.) All of us feel the effects of greed; it is the direct result of living in a capitalist society. Yet, there are always people of Aragorn's nature. Generous, kind, and wise. Or perhaps they lack the knowledge but are no less gracious - as it is with Pippin and Merry. And Gandalf is our hope, for hope may leave us in dark times but will always be born once more when it is needed. And then it freakin' takes our bestest of friends on a boat to the west thanks Gandalf. In all seriousness, the ending is most touching for me, for it represents leaving for a new life after the dust has settled once more and the winds force us unto a path full of newer promises. There comes times in our lives where we must leave the ones we love for our own benefit; and it is sad, yes, but it is a good sad. Memories will always be upheld, and you'll never truly lose the ones who shared the winding road with you. It is a good sad, and we must all learn to move on. That is the basis what Lord of the Rings means so me, but there is so much more i must think about and i've rambled on for far too long! I do hope you enjoy this video; i certainly had quite the experience making it. (Many tears were shed, let me tell you) I OWN NONE OF THE CLIPS OR AUDIO USED IN MY VIDEO. MY VIDEO IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
