A group of students from the Essex County College Computer Science Club turned the sci-fi concept of telekinesis into reality by controlling a red Mustang GT model car using brain waves. The user wears a modified headset that has three metal sensors that detects change in the brain's electrical activity. When the user increases their concentration more brain activity is created and is transmitted to a receiver in the model car. A circuit board on the car tells it to move and how quickly. While the project relies on existing technology of brainwave detection, the students added a twist by applying it to a car and figured out the circuitry and programming needed to make it work.
