Mindfulness High Performance Settings
In this Inner Lab video, I talk about using mindfulness when performance settings go wrong, like after a mistake in surgery, so you can accept the present moment and move your best way forward. I share how mindfulness practice helps prevent rumination and distraction so you can be present for the next patient. We practice a simple grounding exercise using your feet, then your hands, gently labeling thinking or planning and returning to your anchor. I also guide you through the see, hear, feel practice by toggling attention across anchors. This helps direction attention, intentionally over time!
