Mine Are Blue
An Experimental Mixed Media Short Film An exploration of sibling relationships through sound, time, narrative structure, and materiality. In an attempt to combine formal storytelling themes and experimental filmmaking, editing, and audio techniques, Mine Are Blue (2026) was born. A collage of iPhone, Sony A7 & Canon PowerShot G12 footage, 16mm hand-processed(using coffee, wine, beer) B & W reversal and 16mm Hi-Con film shot on Bolex. As well as physical 16mm found footage from the RISD FAV collection, physically altered using bleach, acrylic inks, sharpie, and hole punch techniques. Also included are two camera-less loops made using hand scratched animation, acrylic inks & sharpie. All digital found footage was sourced from the Internet Archive collection the "Prelinger Archives".
