The design is quick to build and very helpful for lighting up caves while making mob farms. What makes this design especially useful is the fact that you can put multiple minecarts on the tracks at the same time and thus use the device to coordinate caving projects with a group of players. It is easy to access and provides a good viewing radius for all players using the design at the same time.
