Yep. The time has come. I decided to build a second observatory.
This one is going to be very small. I'm thinking something like 3'x3'x3'. It's going to live in my side yard and mostly just be a place to enclose my mount and scope to reduce setup/take-down time. Also, I live on a street with a lot of cars and pedestrians. I want this to look like a dog house or other small building and keep the scope out of view even when the roof is open.
Another reason I want to build it is to show the process involved. I learned a lot when I built my first observatory and so this one will be even better.
I'll be building this tiny observatory over the next few months. I'm going to try and keep the budget under $200. I'll be making regular videos that update you all on the process!
