Mini Modular #2: A Eurorack FX Rack
In this episode of the Mini Modular series I build a small Eurorack rack dedicated entirely to effects. While most people think of modular synthesis as a sound source, modular systems can also make incredibly powerful effects processors, especially because modulation can be routed anywhere in the system. This rack focuses on creating a flexible modular FX chain using: • ALM Pamela’s Pro Workout • Pico Input • Qu-Bit Data Bender • ALM MFX • Happy Nerding FX Aid By combining modulation with delay, reverb, glitch processing and other effects, a modular FX rack can produce textures and movement that are difficult to achieve with a traditional effects chain. In this video I demonstrate the rack using drums, beats and synthesizers, showing how modulation and routing can transform simple sounds into evolving textures.
