Mini roundabouts are really confusing for learner drivers and mini roundabouts can cause a lot of confusion during your driving lessons in Ireland. The reason why driving test applicants can pick up grade 2 faults in their driving test for observation at roundabouts is for not looking out to the right at roundabouts. Even if there is no road to the right, correct observation at the roundabout is to the right. Usually, during driving lessons in Ireland, learner drivers will see no road to the right and the learner driver will look left. During driving lessons in Ireland, learner drivers get very close to the footpath because they take their eyes off the road to left mirror, left signal to exit the roundabout. We do signal left as we exit the roundabout but make sure we drive around the mini roundabout first.
