MiniBeam Load Cells Typical Installation

The MB Miniature Beam Load Cell and MBP Overload Protected Miniature Beam Load Cell are designed for reliable use in scale pits, batching plants, and other environments exposed to weather, while also performing well in controlled applications. For proper installation, the unit should be mounted to a flat, rigid surface using two 8-32 x 1¼ inch screws, tightened to 24 in-lb (2.7 N·m) to ensure optimal performance. Once secured, compression force can be applied via an 8-32 threaded rod, locked in place with a hex nut, or alternatively by using a 5/32-inch steel wire cable fastened with a cable stop and set screws. Care must be taken during installation to avoid exceeding 150% of the rated capacity, as overload conditions may cause permanent damage.
