Miter Saw Cart
This is my first narrated post to YouTube. Be gentle... A brief overview and demo to my Miter Saw Cart. This is my second attempt at a miter saw cart. Last year I made one from 2x4's and OSB. It was big, ugly and somewhat functional. Since then, I've seen many designs and felt compelled to start over. This is Stan Sullivan's design from simpleeasydiy.com. Here is a link to his build video: https://youtu.be/yWonFRDfaqc I followed Stan's measurements, but I made some design modifications to the height and assembly. The carcass frame is made from pallet wood. I ripped pallet slats down to 1½" and 3" wide. Using my Pocket Hole Jig I created frames and then attached the frames together. The face frame was scrap pine from my work bench build. The drawer box is ½" plywood and I used this method: https://youtu.be/KScwjAYJ9_8 No real need to use this method other than I wanted practice with my router table. The runners are made from scraps and there is an upper runner to prevent the drawer from dropping or tipping to low the further it is pulled out. The door frame is pallet wood. The hinges were extras from a microwave cart parts bag. I made a matching frame for the drawer front. Both are covered with the ⅜" plywood. I kept two pieces separate so the grain would match, but I made a mistake and cut a piece to small. Oh well... The wings and supports are ¾" plywood and were left overs from my recent bookshelf build. https://twitter.com/bosnski/status/636673857454256129 I bought the wheels, piano hinge and one sheet of ⅜" plywood. All other materials were either scraps or pallet wood. Thanks for watching.
