Mixed Media Collage Tutorial — Part 2

I’m Susan McCreevy, a mixed media artist specialising in gel printing. In this video, I take the collage foundations from Part 1 and transform them into finished mixed-media pieces on wooden cradle boards. You’ll see how I: ✅ Layer Gelli prints, tissue paper, and image transfers over a textured base ✅ Add birds, branches, and delicate details to complete the composition ✅ Wrap designs around deep cradle board edges for a 3D effect ✅ Work with wet-strength tissue, tea bag paper & Marushi papers for subtle effects ✅ Combine opaque paint and mark-making tools for finishing touches By the end, I’ll show you four finished pieces from all angles and share tips on creating cohesive series or stand-alone works. ✨ Missed Part 1?
