As you all know, Universal Audio plugins are probably my favorite plugins. Today, I mix a rap chorus and show you a very effective vocal chain for hip hop. There are two main ways that you can mix a hip-hop chorus.
The first method is to create presence with the main vocal with minimal backing vocals. This is used when you want the words to be heard, and minimal effects tend to be used. The second way, and the way that I used in this song, is to blend the main vocal and the backing vocal together to create something loud and powerful!
