Mixing with Perception: Reference Tracks

Learn how to eliminate "loudness deception" when comparing your mix to a reference track. Perception normalizes the level of your mix and any number of reference tracks so that you can make objective comparisons. Steps: -------- 1. Route all of your mix tracks through a "mix" bus. 2. Send your mix bus output to the stereo output. 3. Send your reference track output to the stereo output. 4. Add Perception Controller to your stereo output. 5. Add Perception Source to your mix bus and each reference track. 6. Balance your mix and each reference track. 7. Compare your mix to your references, at the same loudness level!
